Creativity and Technique
Combining technical knowledge and creative ideas in a responsible, interesting and valuable way.
about me
I’m a media technology student with a deep fascination for media production and creativity.
Writer
Writing a blog about media communication, the social internet and technology.
Podcaster
In my German-language Podcast “ReGen”, I try to teach my dad about video games.
Musician
As “many times over” I explore my music and audio production skills.
My first creative media projects started during the pandemic while I was studying communication science. From that time stems my blog (now named “Media Makes A Mark”), where I write about media communication, the social internet and technology. Although I didn’t graduate in this field, it provided me with valuable insights and skills that have shaped the way I work.
In 2022, I launched the German-language podcast “ReGen” with my dad, where I guide him through the world of video games. Around the same time, I started creating instrumental music under the name “many times over.” Since autumn 2023, I’ve been studying media technology, expanding my expertise in audio production while also exploring videography, visual media, and some programming.
Beyond my personal projects, I’ve also produced podcasts on a contract basis, working on audio editing, concept creation and consultation. I love creating art and media, and I’m passionate about helping others bring their creative visions to life.
My Creative Projects
My personal projects range from music and podcasts to my blog and (in the future) video essays.
many times over
The first EP “the birds don’t know” is available everywhere to stream. The second big project is in the making.
ReGen Gamespodcast
A German-language Podcast about the complex world of video games and how my dad (a non-gamer for most of his life) interacts with them.
Created at a time when my sight was set on becoming a journalist, I am now writing about my opinions on media communication, the social internet, art and technology and how those interact with each other.
Feelings, Thoughts and Rules for the Future of AI
When I first saw “Green girl” I was scrolling through r/pixelsorting, and I really liked it. And most of the time I don’t upvote or like stuff online. They don’t need my data, is what I’m thinking. But I also wanna show my appreciation for this piece of art I discovered, so I upvote it…
When machines talk
Even though the development of “AI” chatbots, text-to-image generators, and similar “AI” tools feels extremely rapid and monumental at the moment, I would like to take a step back in this text and analyze why the development feels so significant, but also address what it (so far) is not.
Apple TV+ looks bad (in Browsers)
If you’re not satisfied with the quality of Apple’s streaming service, it likely has to do with your choice of playback device. When I tried to watch Prehistoric Planet on my Windows PC using the Firefox browser, I was baffled. Why did it look like a YouTube video from 2007? I was very confused and frustrated. Instead of spending the evening enjoying perhaps the best modern portrayal of dinosaurs, I had to wonder what was going wrong.
