AI Use Disclosure

Here are my guidelines for how I am going to use generative AI in my work. My thought process behind this disclosure is detailed in this blog post right here. These rules may change in the future, which I will indicate with a date of change and a sort of changelog for each rule. This is just a voluntary set of rules for me, that makes my use of these tools as transparent as possible.

Rule 1: Human intention can drive a piece enough as to constitute an original creation.

Rule 2: I will never impersonate an artist’s style to make it my own, maybe to reference or explore it but never to maliciously exploit or gain from it.

Rule 3: I will always label generative AI use.

Rule 4: There are styles and ways to use these tools that are “unspecific” enough, as to not harm any other artist in the process, especially if rule 1 applies.
